Welcome to another week, revisiting a favourite theme of mine … Hooray, it’s windows again!
Holding stones to light
watching boats in early morn
with cold bare wet feet
15.4.24
Magnifier light
show fragments in ancient rock,
billion years later
16.4.24
Olympic rings stand
on the highest rocky hill.
Now a beach window
17.4.24
Is this the right place?
Magnificence, glory, wealth.
Is this your answer?
18.4.24
Quietly sit here.
Silent dust motes sparkle
as shadows lengthen
19.4.24
Neolithic site,
thousand of years of worship
through ancient yews spied
20.4.24
How much does your soul
need cleaning? Have you slipped up?
Is it in progress?
21.4.24
Thank you for making it this far! Lovely to have you here, I look forward to engaging with you in comments as your poetry, haiku and observations always delight and inspire me.
And if you have the need for more windows, here is Part 1 from December last year.
P.S. As I was taking the last picture a kindly old caretaker shouted down from a balcony, “You can move the sign and open the gate , love”. I said “It’s the sign I’m taking a picture of.” The look of confusion on his face was priceless.
.. and finally, a little bonus window…
Mossy tree window
path ahead always excites
one step at a time
😂 that poor caretaker! He had no idea what haiku-writing, rock-peddling, capture-snatcher vagabond you are!
That rock you’re holding in your fingers, almost looks like what a sail boat with sails high would look like in the distance. Nice contrast between that all the real sailing boats with sails down in the distance.
