And I love the first picture. There is something about the storms that I can’t express. I love how the sky changes colours and gets grey and dark as the storm approaches. I love how the wind blows, carrying the dust. I love how the trees sway, and the leaves rustle. The whole world suddenly feels more alive. People call me crazy for liking such weather. But I find quietude in storms. When everything around you is turbulent, you find peace in yourself.
Beautifully described Saumya. I couldn't agree more. I find all weathers exciting. I love contrasts. This sentence is great "But I find quietude in storms. When everything around you is turbulent, you find peace in yourself." ❤❤❤
Perfect! Thank you Michael. I know of no other medicine that works quite so well as Nature to lift the spirits. This walk was made even better by seeing a hare hop casually across my path - made my day!
Ooo, that is clever, and inspirational too. Now I want to write a whole post with different months expressed. ❤🙏Thank you Michael! The gift of inspiration... my favourite thing! and here is another
Lovely walk through the woods. There is so much to look at and admire. So grateful for this peaceful time. In the last set of pictures that one tree looks as if it will topple.
Thank you Heidi, welcome to the month of May. I'm always a little sad to see 'my' month leave but I also love moving through spring and into summer. The sea gets warmer for swimming for one thing!
Last year I had a go at this and I think I will do the same again this year but perhaps more as I go along. This post also has a longer poem about how me and my son (who is autistic) manage to go and challenge our fear of the cold water weekly! I was chuffed that this poem was also aired on BBC radio.
Bluebells sway in breeze,
May's gentle footsteps whisper,
Woodland dreams awake.
Beautiful Gloria ❤️ thank you 🙏
That was refreshing! It was beautiful. Ty for sharing this. Your so creative. 💗
Thank you Sharon, that compliment has lifted my spirits today when I needed it most. ❤ much appreciated 🙏
How serene are the woods!

March hare hopped over
Bearing sweet April tidings
May spring never end!

Hare hopping slowly
turns to glance, giving me then
a spirits blessing

Thank you Monica. Yes, the angle of that tree fascinated me... I imagine a storm will soon be it's downfall, but who knows!
These are some beautiful pictures to accompany your words!
Thanks Bethel so glad you enjoyed them, lovely to share this walk which felt truly magical.
Simple beauty in words. and pictures travel a direct path.
Thank you Stan. This wood was very peaceful and I too love the simplicity of the bluebell ❤️

Perhaps a swimming journey will unfold in the upcoming months! Staying tuned…

Deciduous trees leaves that in winter fell
Nourishes to lift the blue bells
Heads to sing and sway in wind
While waking paths I wend.
Slip silent bye.
